Salam...

Malam tadi, aku dah empuk2 kan bantal, ready2 nak layan Glee... (aku mmg semangat skarang kalau Wed nite ni)...

suami dan anak pon sampai rumah.. (aku balik straight dari ofis smalam, tak tunggu pon suamiku itu pasal dia kata dia nak balik lambat... and aku mintak dia amik terus anak kami yg sorang tu, dah dia yg ada keta...)

sekali sambil berpusing2, ngadap tv... nyanyi2 apa yg keluar kat tv tu... tup- tup dapat panggilan telefon, dari adik iparku...

wah... abg iparku sudah dapat anak lagi sorang... isterinya sudah meletup!

Alhamdulillah... another girl in Pok Mak's family!

so kami dgn langkah yg berat (berat bukan apa, mata sebenarnya dah kuyu2... tp tetap excited nak tgk baby baru)... pegi laa ke rumah sakit...

so nampaklaaa baby baru yg comel itu... (baby mana pon yg tak comel, dak?)

so bertambahlah sorang lagi yg akan memanggil I Mommy Roz! haaa, comel betul budak2 tu kalau dah pandai cakap panggil I Mommy Roz yg Comel...

lagi satu... bff aku punya birthday pon smalam gak...

Happy birthday, Chah... Semoga berjaya memantapkan diri ke tahap paling maksimum di usia skarang dan akan datang, Insya Allah...

Hafazan is Easy (HIE)

Salam...

Right after work yesterday, my hubby and I rushed to Coaching Zone, in Seri Kembangan (right after work tu takde laa, lps maghrib gak aku bertolak, redah hujan, halilintar, dan plg penting kat KL ialah redah banjir jem!)

We attended a session called Hafazan Is Easy, a method used by an ustaz in a tahfiz school in Besut, T'ganu (Ustaz ni nama dia Ust. Wan Zikri, muka mcm Mawi, serious tak tipu, but with kopiah, and a funny guy...) This session was organized by Coach Sha, a homeschool teacher cum mother to her 4 kids, who is also running this Coaching Zone company... she basically organize English classes for kids, parents and anybody who loves to learn English in fun ways...

Basically, this session introduce you ways of memorizing Quran, how one's can use their fullest brain capacity and capability to memorize the holy Quran... Come to think of it, everyone can and it is never too late... sebab Ustaz Zikry cakap, if you memorize an ayat a day, you'll memorize the whole book in 18 years! How amazing is that? So katalaa skarang aku 32, campur lagi 18 tahun? 50? ehh ok sangat laa tu kan kalau jadik hafizah masa umur cenggitu... Insya Allah...

hmmm... boleh ke? sometimes my brain pon cam ada mode idle2 dia gitu... :) Anyhow, when there's a will, there's a way, aight?

Something Happen for a Reason

Alhamdulillah... a close friend of mine has taken a major step in fulfilling her life.
A life- changing experience indeed!

She'll be having a SON soon, this November! Insya Allah...

For those who's pregnant, you may think this is just another phase that you'll go thru (Insya Allah), so what's so big deal about it?

But for a lady who's never been married, living in KL alone (parents staying outside of the city).. I think this is so challenging but yet something to look forward to, right babe? You know you have all the responsibilities in the world to give everything, to protect him for any danger or whatnot... (I can imagine you'll soon sound like me, like mak2 one!) hehehhehe

Whatever it is, I'll pray that you'll be the best mother to the child, provide him with love, guidance and toys (yeay, frequent visits to Toys 'R' Us together after this)... I am just a call away if you need help...

ooohhh even I can't wait to see her baby.. I've always liked babies... they are always sooo to look at, regardless of their backgrounds...

I want another one, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..........

Iftar with the Besties

It was chaotic last Sunday, we had potluck session for Iftar at my place...
with all the ladies dominating, what could the guys/ husbands say about it? Layan jek laaaa...

Thanks for the food... yours truly ini just prepared nasik lembik putih yg sedap, my signature fruit punch and a place to chill (chill sangat laa kan rumah aku tu)...
Noriz for the first time ever, prepared masak lemak daging salai... yummy! and Noriz, hope this won't be the last time... lepas ni ada lagi... :)

Ratna, your sambal ikan bilis was a bless... my metabolism rate went fast that time, nak lagi.. nak lagi.. dan lagi...

Azmah and your sup daging (or tulang?) Siam... serious yummylicious! feels like I ordered one from an authentic Thai restaurant...

Liza, yes... your chicken was grilled perfectly by Tesco... hehehe.. and your KFC mmg finger lickin' good... (takpe, you were sick... next time masak signature dish kau ok?)

and the kids... were adorable as always... and further thanks to Yani and her friend for becoming our distinguished guests... hehehehhe..

I Commit Myself To You...

One of my anak angkats finally got married... Alhamdulillah... congrats Alle*m & Saki*ah! You guys rock! Got married at the age of 20 and still in the college! Saki*ah is Alle*m's classmate, who is at the same time, the daughter of the dean in their school! Wah, terrer laa you, pandai mengayat anak dekan you!... Whatever it is, me and Uncle Lan are happy for you.. and don't forget to study and be a good paed one day, Insya Allah...

I knew his family when we were in States. His parents were the most helpful person in the world... seriously, we have never met anybody like them... They came from a very well- known family, and yet so humble... even the kids! I adore them so much esp on the first day I arrived in States, imagine the moment they saw me for the first time, they came running to me, took my hand, kiss it and give salam... and the best part, they were raised in States! (and their English is so berabuk, I tell you! hahaha)... and they are always like that until now... sometimes it made me and MAM think, why aren't kids (not all) in Malaysia like that... to have respect to other people, hug and kiss their mommies in public without feeling embarass (esp boys), bond with fathers like friends (they do it until now, I'm hoping AZA will do these to us later, Insya Allah)...

So, next in line is Zuf*r... yeay! nasik minyak lagi...

he was with his Gameboy all the times and always fought with her lil' bro, Azz*em... and he's married now...

The family that we owe them a lot... Thanks, you guys the bestest!

Another story, my SIL was 'dirisik' (what they call it in English, BTW?) about 2 weeks ago... Congrats Ij*... and lets start planning for your big day (she's skipping her engagement part, straight to the point, she said)... hehhe... so what's AJK you're putting me for? The exhaustion of handling Abelong's wedding last year isn't over yet, and I'm back at it again... mak aihh, penatnya! But nevermind, as long as you get what you want for your moments! Let the engine running....

A New Star in the Making...

A friend of mine has safely delivered a baby girl last Sunday, Alhamdulillah... Congrats to both A*im and Has*i... finally kan? You must glad, all the pain and the worriness worth the wait... ;) She weighs 3.04kg, normal delivery @ Pantai Med. Ctr by Dr. (ntah!)... err sorry, no info available... lupa nak tanya...

A cutie pie she is (baby mana yg tak pon kan?)... thick hair, opened her eyes throughout my visit (except she went back to sleep few minutes before we left)... she's blushing red! that means she's very very fair (mak bapak pon dah putih melepak!)

Her parents named her Hannah Tan Qaireena Sofiyya... lovely name!

Ok, now it's that time for me again... nak anak jugak... a girl perhaps? Insya Allah... pray for me...

orait... chiao.. and baby dust to me, and whoever's trying out there!

Hari Sabtu & Ahadku 14.02 & 15.02 (A Trip to Kuala Selangor)

Salam...

ok... kalau dah tak celebrate V- Day tu, ajak laa kawan2 merayap2... ke mana? Kelip2 di Kg. Kuantan, Kuala Selangor! Woohoo!!! Mula2 tu almost nak dicancelkan on Friday, sbbnya tak ramai yg free, tapi disebabkan semangat kawan2 aku yg lain dah meronta2 nak pegi, maka diteruskan jugak...

kitorang bertolak lps zuhur on saturday... berenti lunch kat R&R Awan Besar kat Kesas tu, headed towards Sg. Buloh... then to Kuala Selangor. The journey took about 1.5 hours, not bad la kan... sampai jek, ingatkan nak straight pegi hotel, tapi kawan2 aku yg dah memang teruja tu, nak tgk site dulu...

Site visit...

then, off to the hotel, de palma hotel, kuala selangor... lepak2 kejap sampai laa kitorang ready2 after maghrib prayer utk ke Kg. Kuantan, tempat rasmi kelip2 tu menginap... (time ni semua cam dah kemaruk, dan excited gila dah!)... beli tiket $10 sorang (sampan hanya boleh memuatkan 4 org penumpang sahaja, so kalau korang datang ber2, make sure pandai2 laa carik kawan baru kat situ nanti mintak ditumpangkan atau korang ajak dia tumpang bot korang nanti)... ni ala2 kes prebet sapu laa, kereta takkan jalan kalau tak cukup orang lagi :) aku ngan laki aku kena naik ngan satu couple cina yg muda (dorang tgh celebrate V-Day sambil tgk kelip2, so sweet!), manakala kawan2 aku yg 4 org tu naik satu bot... harus laa berlumba... hahah, takdelah...

aku cam cuak2 gak laa, psl dorang mmg kata ada buaya (standard laa dah kalau sungai yg ada udang, mmg ada Pak Ya ni!) ala2 ngeri laa gak memikirkannya... tp dorang kata dia tak usik kalau tak usik dia... so dgn bismillah, kami pon naik bot... so masa pendayung aku yg cool tu bawak ke seberang sungai (kat pokok2 tu korang dah nampak cahaya kelip2... dan pemandangan dia sebijik mcm christmas tree)... korang dah macam terlupa semua tu... Subhanallah, cantik!

bapak & anak atas sampan... nasib ada life jacket, rasa secured sikit...

abis jek semua tu, kami apa lagi, sesi makan laa pulak... abang pendayung suggest kitorang pegi Jeram, makan seafood kat Pantai Jeram... food takde laa sedap gila, biasa2 jek... I've had better laa...

esoknya tu, lepas check- out, kitorang pegi berjalan2 kat tpt bersejarah pulak @ Bukit Malawati... tgk2 meriam Belanda, rumah api semua... kat atas tu pon ada muzium about Selangor ni, so you can easily kill time kat situ laa... (sbb kalau tak kang rasa takde apa2 sangat atas tu, selain melayan monyet2 jek)... korang tau tak, salah satu version mana datangnya nama Selangor ni ialah there was this one pahlawan terkenal dan handal laaa... sekali ada satu time tu, dia tgh lepak2, datang satu langau hinggap kat pipi dia, dia pon sudah naik hangin la kan... dia tampar pipi dia dgn sekuat- hatinya dgn harapan nak punahkan langau tu, belakang dgn jayanya langau itu dapat terbang... maka sakit pipi + sakit hati free2 jek laa kan... terus dia terpk, aku dgn org tak kalah, tapi ngan langau boleh kalah? Sure tpt ni bertuah, aku nak namakan this place Se-Langau (seekor langau)... last2 nama ni tukar Selangor over the times... mak aih, cam psycho kan? Tp tu laa, ada lagi 2-3 version yg nampak lagi convincing laa jalan cita dia dari yang ni, tp somehow yg ni jugak aku hafal... hahahhaa... mungkin aku kesiankan mamat dalam cita ni sbb pipi dia sure kemerah2an sbb sakit dah menahan malu...

ni laa geng2 pengembaraan ke Kuala Selangor...

so dah abis2 semua tu, kitorang pon turun aaa balik (eh lupa, nak naik atas, dan turun tu semua korang boleh naik tram yg tiket $2 for dewasa, $1 for kids, dan kitorang rasa worth gila, sbb abg drebar tuh mmg layan penumpang2 dia haritu mcm naik roller- coaster... lap ajek keja dia.. best woooo!)... then, ready to head home... on the way tu sempat lagi menyinggah kat A&W Subang Jaya... woohooo.. best laa weekendku kali ni... Cuti- Cuti Malaysia...

haaa, tengok dia lap sekali... dia buat lebih 12x, tau!... :)

BFF Gathering on CNY

We had this tea- time session yesterday, and it was an impromptu one! Yes, trust me my beloved friends, the success rate of planning something in advance is almost close to zero, but if it's done on impluse, Insya Allah, done! We have to work on that, please... too many plans got canceled... commitment, commitment...

nevertheless, yesterday's one was fun... altho it was suppose to be a teatime session, we got ourselves slurping up glasses of juices, and topping up calories... cheese here and there... :) and to add the fun, we celebrated our lil' next top model's birthday, Izznur... how we could see her face glows when the waiters and waitresses brought out the Molten Cake with candle and sang the official song loudly... Happy birthday, kakak!

so pretty ladies, lets make this again some other time, Insya Allah... and if it's going to be a prompt one, so let it be...

p/s: can't wait for our coming vacation... and Najwa, seriously... we missed you in the crowd! oh yeah, on other note, my hubby was spending his day at the office (too many things to be done)... and he spent the nite there... huhuhuhuh, I miss you, too...

p/s 2: Id like to take this oppotunity to congratulate my cousin who just got married last week... Selamat pengantin baru, Min (and the bride)... semoga kekal ke akhir hayat, dan selamat meramaikan umat Muhammad... amin...

Newborn... Emmalyn

Alhamdulillah... My bestfriend has safely delivered a beautiful baby girl on 10 Dec... Congrats Che Pah & her hubby as well... she came out early, 12 days to be exact... but still she looks stunning... err the baby, ye pah... for you, you looked awesome in that sarong! hahahah...

apa nama baby? tak tau lagi.. they were still thinking on it... because they just knew 'It's a Girl' on that day itself, all this while they were not keen on knowing it... let it be a surprise, they said...
haaa, told 'cha kan, you'll drained all your energy pushing...? takpe, for a good cause.. and it all disappeared when they placed the baby on your chest... comelnesssss....

again... congrats to both of you... errr, aku nak kena bookedkan ke for Adam? hahhahaha

Departed... Newborn

I lost my cousin today, a close one...
He passed away this morning in BP, Johore...
It's devastating considering he was one of my cousins who was a 'fav' to my parents...
I remember him as someone who is 'stern-looking', but actually was a fun, resposible and a loving father to his 7 kids, and good leader/ brother to his brothers & sisters...
Alfatihah to my Abg Din... Semoga Allah mencucuri rahmat ke atasnya... Amin...

On other note, a close friends of mine delivered their 4th baby boy early this morning, too...
Alhamdulillah... now they have a platoon of boys in their squad... so Ieta, that means you are not giving up until a daughter is finally yours, arent you?
hmmm... keep on trying and better luck next time... tee hee hee...
anyways, congratulations to you and Nuar...
we'll visit you once we are back in KL, coz I need to go back to SP for my cousin's funeral, Insya Allah...

It all was a success to me...

As was posted on my previous posting, I organized a small gathering/ open house for my friends... (family not included as my haven is seriously cannot accomodate all of them :)

Prior to this event, my bank is organizing our big open house, too... I had to run to get all the things for that nite's event from Carrefour, and then ran back to the office to pick up few collegues that wanted to ride with me to attend that open house, held at our HQ. Man! That was already tiring... and it doubled up when right after makan2 there (mind you, I had to leave early for the cooking + tidying up the house + flower arrangements) I had to run to pick up my lovey- dovey MAM at his office, then to M-I-L's place to borrow Erna to help me soon... Masya Allah, penatnya Tuhan saja yang tahu... (AZA was left with my mom, coz with him around, toksah laa kan, memang tak jadik kerja...)

Once we reached home, the hard- work started... with all the peeling, blending, baking, boiling etc... "kerja gila" dalam hati aku cakap... I've never had any experience cooking too many dishes at one time for only 2 hours ++... luckily I have Erna & MAM to help... you should see MAM did all the bread pudding prep by himself.. with little instructions from me... teehehe... you rock!

1st guests arrived were Liza and her cousin, Da. Gila awal!!! Lots of things were not done, and she had to jump into the ring, too... hahahha, tu laa, sapa suruh datang awal sangat...

and the guests kept on flowing after Isyak... The guests were:

7. Ieta, Nuar & family
8. Chah & her mom

11. My dad... (my mom did not come, coz she had to bake kuih for Ieta's open hse the next day & my dad said she merajuk coz I didnt invite her... mana ada, saja nak kenakan orang... Insya Allah I'll do another one, just for the family...)

To all our friends, thanks for coming, hope you enjoyed my 'hand-water' (nobody called-in sick the next day pon... so takde apa2 laa kot)... teehehe...

I'm glad that I managed to cook what I planned with little time and experience, tho tired to the last bone & beaten... Special thanks to MAM (love you!) and Erna for the helping hand...

Foods & Friends

I'll be having a makan2 session tonite, inviting few closest friends of mine and hubby's. Foods served will be:

laksa sarawak
potato "something- something"
bread pudding
some ice- creams potong bought @ carrefour...

it'll be just a simple one... but I just like to have people at my place, lepak2...

Sampai Pagi!

Last Monday, we had some out-of-tune session @ The Curve... (what can I say, our voices are only lullabies to our own ears, and not to others)... sbb sedar akan kemampuan diri sendiri laa, buat we only let the steam off @ karaoke centers, bukan dekat AF... teehehe...

At first there were 8 of us (me, MAM, UZA, SS, RoMH, NSoS, Sam and JD)... we had dinner @ Delicious in Bangsar (prior to that, we had some teh tarik session at Devi's Corner opposite to it)... The ladies had different kind of foods, but the guys ordered the same thing, "Lambshank Masala"... urrghhh no lamb for me, please... and the opposite goes to RoMH for not having duck (BTW, I ordered duck confit spaghetti).. Tapi dia kes lain, sbb dia kata makan sedara sendiri... hahahaha....

Then, the singing sensations started at 10.30... UZA and Sam didnt join, as UZA needed to go back before her hubby comes back from futsal session... (ohh sneaked- out kau ye?) No lah, she's the only one of my friends who's not into karaoke... I think! Apa laaa, padahal during our college time dulu2, she was the one who almost made our eardrums explode! Esp to her roommates (which were me & SS)... sekarang dia pulak yang tak layan... Sam pulak pasal had to go back and play with her two lovely daughters yg baru bangun tido... JD's wife (Widya) joined us later for karaoke (her voice is very soothing... bestnya kalau ada suara camtu :)

That session lasted until the last hour which was 3 am! Gila...! Takde nya nak karaoke for 2 hours only (that was our plan at first)... sekali kalau RoMH dah got hold of that mic, jangan haraplaa sekejap jek kan... But we had fun that nite... It's been a while we gathered together and show our hidden craziness... Next time we plan another one again, ok?
